I’ve loved wine since I was old enough to (legally) drink it. About ten years ago, I decided to transition from wine lover to wine connoisseur by taking courses and improving my blind tasting skills. I completed the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 1 Award in Wines, followed by Level 2 with Distinction, and finished with Level 3 with Merit.
Not stopping there, I became a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators.
Finally, to better understand the business side of the wine industry, I earned a certificate in Wine Business Management from the Wine Business Institute at Sonoma State University.
I’ve never been one to say no when somebody says, “let’s go to a winery.” In fact, I’m usually the one saying it! Having visited more than 75 wineries, I know where to go for the best wine quality, atmosphere, expert service, scenic views, food, and dog-friendliness.
My passion for helping others, developed through more than two decades in the nonprofit sector, fuels my drive to guide clients as they embark on their own exploration of wine.
